Ashland Art Works - Vibrant Watercolor Paintings, Ruth Halpern

Currently featured at Ashland Art Works are vibrant watercolor paintings by Ruth Halpern. The corner table in Ruth's living room has become her haven of peace and sanity. When she sits down with her pens, pencils, and paints, no matter what’s going on in the outside world, a golden pool of quiet opens around her, and she dives in. At each stage, Ruth sits with a composition to make sure it’s expressing as much as possible about what she is feeling and thinking. Because she has a ferocious fear of messing up, as she gets ready to ink, she reminds herself that if she totally blows it, she can always draw it again.
