Fiber Arts Collective - Latina Geniuses Are Everywhere, Manya Yana Campos

Currently featured at Fiber Arts Collective are textiles and poems by Manya Yana Campos. This exhibition is a multimedia project of love, and it serves as an altar to honor the living Latina leaders that have inspired Manya. Her creative journey began on the front stoop of her mother's house while scraping guava jelly into their mouths, followed by them asking each other the question: “What does it mean to be Latina?” In addition to textiles and poems being on display, Manya will also present a poetry reading at 6:00 p.m. during December First Friday Art Walk.
