KS Wild - Rachel Pellow, Bhaktibee Art
Currently featured at KS Wild are live sculpture photographs by Rachel Pellow. Each composition starts with a survey foraging trip. When Rachel is foraging, she pays very close attention to the colors and textures of decaying materials, new growth, and animal signs. As she describes, she always does her best to gather materials that tell a story about an ecosystem and season. She also uses her field guides to identify the species of plants, animals, and fungi. Once she has returned to her studio, she then assembles her natural materials into live sculptures to photograph.
Don't forget to join them for First Friday Art Walk, taking place July 5, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
