Scavenger Studios - Introduction to Copper Etching
Join Scavenger Studios and Vanessa Jo Bahr to learn about the fundamentals of copper etching, an intaglio printmaking process. In addition to learning about plate preparation using hard and soft ground techniques, individuals will also learn how to use aquatint, scribe lines, stop out, prepare paper, and print. By the end of this four week series, individuals will have a well rounded understanding of copper etching with the ability to continue to advance their skills and pursue the medium in the future.
The series will take place from Tuesday, November 26 to Tuesday, December 17, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a total of four sessions on Tuesdays. For those who are interested in participating, please click here for more information.
