The Ashland Gallery Association envisions a future where art is everywhere. First Friday Art Walks could be filled with legendary creatives and amazing gallery exhibitions, pop-up events, live music, and live performances featuring art at every turn. We see quirky art events like drink-n-doodle nights at local pubs and live speed drawing battles in the plaza. We want to create large member group shows, help local businesses showcase more artists, and ultimately encourage new galleries to open their doors. 

Southern Oregon is currently at a crossroads... The pandemic has given Ashland a wake up call and the city realizes that the Oregon Shakespeare Festival cannot be relied on as a sole economic driver anymore. The Almeda Fire has also opened new doors and opportunities for communities affected to establish new goals and visions for the future. The winery scene is booming, as well as outdoor recreation opportunities. We sit at a moment in time where artists can take part in shaping the future of this region, and obviously, we believe that the future should be full of art!
