Magical Botanical Studio - Natural Dyeing Deep Dive with Sunny Lindley

Join Magical Botanical Studio and Sunny Lindley for a deep dive into natural dyeing. This three-part series will offer a hands-on introduction to natural dyeing with plants. In the first class, participants will learn about the basics of dyeing cellulose fibers and choose a garment and plant color for their project. The second class will focus on mordanting, where participants will explore recipes and techniques to help colors bond and transform. In the final class, participants will extract dye from plants and create a vat for immersion dyeing, completing their chosen garment. By the end, everyone will have both the knowledge and experience to continue natural dyeing projects at home.

The classes will take place on Friday, October 24 and November 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and Saturday, October 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For those who are interested in participating, please click here for more information.
