PRINTMAKING
My most recent work exposes a ritualised obsession with collecting and organizing my personal archive of found natural artifacts. By etching, carving and reproducing these remains in copper, I immortalize and preserve their existence. I create art as a form of activism and land stewardship. Using illustration, I examine environmental topics such as biodiversity, extirpated animals, ecological genocide, deforestation and habitat loss. My work conjures feelings of deep reverence for our plant and animal kin before they fade into distant memories due to human negligence.
