Brooke Nuckles is a mixed media artist based in Southern Oregon, specializing in time-based, interactive fiber art installations, mixed media sculpture, and silkscreen prints. Her work aims to craft experiences that resonate with vibrancy and audacity, drawing inspiration from personal connections with the natural world, interpersonal relationships, and community dynamics.
Influenced by artists such as Eva Hesse, Robert Rauschenberg, and Maria De Los Angeles, Brooke infuses her art with organic fluidity, audacious pop sensibilities, and a vibrant palette. She finds creative inspiration in live music and improvisational jams, embracing the philosophy of "yes, and…" to continuously evolve her artistic expression.
Brooke's artwork not only captivates visually but also prompts a deeper exploration of the human condition within its environmental and societal contexts. Her pieces have been showcased nationally and internationally, including exhibitions at Giustina Gallery (Oregon State University, Corvallis), Langford Gallery (Phoenix), Medford Coop Cafe, and Rogue Valley International Airport.
Beyond her artistic endeavors, Brooke advocates for the arts through her involvement with the Arts Alliance of Southern Oregon and City of Medford’s Public Arts Selection Committee. She also consults for nonprofit organizations through Growing Assets, LLC. These commitments underscore her belief in the transformative power of art and community engagement.
