Abby Lazerow explores narrative, figurative, and allegorical imagery that considers the interactionbetween the human and the natural world. Her colorful, expressive and dynamic paintings also examine social issues to bear witness our increasingly polarized times. She works in a variety of media, including oil, drawing,printmaking and ceramics. She accepts portrait commissions, and works to perceive and convey the deep essence of her subjects.She has received numerous grants and awards, including the Haines & Friends Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts and the VT Council on the Arts. Her paintings are exhibited nationally and are included in many public and private collections. She welcomes visitors to her studio, located on a small farm in Ashland.
