I am a painter of nature. I don’t copy what I see. Instead, I attempt to get to the essence of why we find being outside in nature soothing to our souls. My artistic inspiration comes from living on a wooded high-elevation property in Oregon, as well as from having held several National Park Artist-in-Residence positions. I work with water media. My work is colorful, highly textured, and semi-abstract, though the natural forms can still be identified.
