I am a painter and teacher of art. My subjects are landscapes and wildlife. I work mainly in acrylics. My paintings are highly textured, colorful, and semi-abstract, though the natural forms can still be identified. Instead of copying what I see, I attempt to get to the essence of why we find nature soothing to our souls. My inspiration comes from living in the woods and from several National Park artist-in-residence positions.
