At age 7, I had a knack for painting in oils with some skill for realism. At 71, my work is digital, entirely abstract—devoid of imagery and symbolism—yet still very much depicts a world I experience as both beautiful, and broken. I feel the duty of every human being (and artist) summed up in the phrase “tikkun olam,” an ancient concept meaning action taken intended to repair and/or redeem the world.
