Gouache on pH-treated upcycled tea bags
Erin Linton is an Ashland native specializing in a unique medium, gouache on pH-treated up-cycled tea bags. Erin developed the pH-treating process to meet her need to paint portraits of the wildlife she encounters primarily through her work as a wildlife rehabber. This technique allows her to do more than just paint a species representation; adding abstract elements alludes to the personality of her subjects while mimicking their softness and warmth.
