I fell in love with pastel painting a few years ago and enjoy all the possibilities this medium allows. I primarily paint landscapes from my own photo references while traveling in Oregon. I am drawn to paint scenes that elicit my emotions. Often the colors, light and shadow come together in such a way I feel compelled to try and portray this in my art. My hope is that prospective clients will recognize familiar places and feel a connection to my interpretation.
