Throughout my career as a landscape architect & builder I have integrated found-objects into my compositions: fractals of the past that inform the moment at hand. This influence continues in a scaled-down version in my sculptural works. It is a channeled approach, a fusion of driftwood, fossils, stones, crushed minerals and semi-precious gems. The precariously shaped driftwood bases, peppered with burls, rot & patinas, further guide the carving & inlays.
