My work draws on material collected in my archive, consisting of extensive photographic images of my travels, gallery and museum shows, clips from art catalogs, magazines and newspapers, screen grabs from television, downloads from the internet, and the miscellany of the diverse discards of consumer culture that populate thrift stores. I also reuse and manipulate previous decades of studio work: pen and ink drawings, woodblock prints, sculpture, monoprints, paintings, and digital text-based computer-generated work. Every piece is constructed from this data vault, an archeology of memory. Yellow Sky Spirit, shown here, is in the collection of the Schneider Museum of Art.
