Alisha B Whitman’s paintings encourage viewers to see the beauty of the world around them. She paints with enthusiastic colors and bold shapes, balancing control and spontaneity, stillness and energy, reality and imagination, representation and symbolism. Alisha creates with watercolor or acrylic, and recently has been exploring adding embroidered elements. She teaches watercolor at Central Art Supply, volunteers in her kids’ schools, and is currently working on her MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts.
